Creepy Girl Cult

Jenée Harrison , a.k.a Creepy Girl Cult, was born in Hohenfels, Germany in 1993. As a child to two active-duty army parents, she moved often and lived all over the U.S. as well as Germany and South Korea. Jenée is currently a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, and painting instructor/entertainer residing in Baltimore, Maryland. She has a bachelors degree in Art+Design from Towson University, where she focused her studies on illustration and graphic design.

Jenée has featured work in multiple art and music events along the east coast and the Midwest, including Artscape, Resonance Music and Arts Festival, and Sonic Bloom. Although she dabbles in multiple mediums, her favorites are ink, watercolor, and digital media.

Jenée’s art is largely influenced by mythology, pin-ups, science fiction, BDSM, and horror movies. Her body of work is riddled with sensual, expressive figures alluring the viewer into a realm of seduction, hidden desires, and, occasionally, heart-wrenching emotions in the form of body horror. Using her craft, the artist enforces the belief that introspection, the examination or observation of one’s own mental and emotional processes, is an important to the quality of life. If you can’t face your demons, how are you to overcome them and be at peace with yourself? As she grows, Harrison attempts to tackle her own demons, and maybe the viewers, one illustration at a time.
