New River Gorge National Park
ACE Adventure Resort is located in the middle of the New River Gorge National Park. A rugged, whitewater river flowing through deep canyons, the New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent. The park encompasses over 70,000 acres of land along the New River, is rich in cultural and natural history, and offers an abundance of scenic and recreational opportunities. Paddlers, hikers, climbers and mountain bikers have been visiting this area for decades due to the heavy concentration of outdoor opportunities. Southern West Virginia has always had a pretty healthy music scene. The many rafting outfitters have always done their part at attracting great entertainment for their guests. Plus Beckley, Charleston and Lewisburg have their fair share of great music venues. One of the goals for Mountain Music Festival is to bring a level of entertainment to this area that was lacking. Yes, we have phenomenal local musicians but no bigger venues that national touring acts are playing. Over the years we have been able to put Oak Hill, WV on the map and on tour posters of bands like Umphrey’s McGee, Tyler Childers, The Revivalists and this year Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade.
Adventure Is Our Middle Name
ACE Adventure Resort is the premier outdoor resort in the New River Gorge. Featuring over 1,500 acres adjacent to the National Park the property includes breathtaking overlooks, cascading waterfalls and hiking trails wandering through the forest. Being in the middle of this recreation paradise ACE has been taking folks whitewater rafting since the 1970’s.
