Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade

Saturday night is going to be epic with one of the biggest names to hit the Mountain Music Festival Stage. Colonel Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade (also known as The Les Claypool Frog Brigade) is a musical project with rotating personnel, led by American singer/bassist Les Claypool. The Frog Brigade was formed during a hiatus from Claypool’s main group Primus. The original band was formed in summer 2000 and consisted of Claypool, Todd Huth (guitars, vocals), Jay Lane (drums), Jeff Chimenti (keyboards), Skerik (saxophone), and Eenor Wildeboar (guitars, cümbüş). Les Claypool has described their sound as, “It’s kind of a King Crimson meets Pink Floyd meets Frank Zappa.

Thursday Night Kickoff Party

Make it a long weekend and start your party Thursday night. We are kicking things off with a celebration at The Lost Paddle and limited to only 500 people. Following that evening will be Vince Herman Band, Sierra Hull and Rising Appalachia. Topping things off Friday night will be a fiery and powerful performance from The Infamous Stringdusters on the mountaintop.

Saturday Night on the Mountaintop

The Saturday lineup is going to be a heater this year with Yam Yam kicking things off on the Mountaintop Stage. Then local boys, The Kind Thieves, are brining their blend of classic rock with a mix of funk and bluegrass too. As the sun goes down over the festival Big Something makes their 9th Mountain Music Festival appearance and their sets are always a crowd favorite. We won’t be slowing down at all when Andy Frasco & The UN hits the stage either and this is gonna be a set you won’t want to miss. Just as you thought it couldn’t get any better, Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade will take the main stage. This very well could be the best night at Mountain Music Festival EVER!!
