There is no shortage of fun stuff to do at Mountain Music Festival this May 31st – June 2nd. ACE Adventure Resort is America’s largest adventure resort featuring exciting mountain adventures like whitewater rafting, zip lining, rock climbing, mountain biking, and more. Plus there are over 25 bands playing their hearts out on four stages spread around the resort. Your weekend festival pass includes access to many free activities over the weekend so get in the know and don’t miss out.
Hiking
ACE Adventure Resort is situated inside the New River Gorge featuring over 35 miles of hiking trails. Stop by the Welcome Center and grab a free trail map to start exploring. Follow the Arbuckle Trail down a cascading stream and view the creek’s multiple waterfalls. Or journey along the gorge wall and search for coal mine entrances while taking in scenic views of the river 400 feet below. The most popular trail at the resort is the Oather Trail leading hikers to the rim of the gorge and the Concho Overlook. Here visitors are treated with a stunning view of the New River and the town of Thurmond below. Ask some of the staff or make friends with one of ACE’s outdoor guides to get tips on the best areas to explore.
MMFest Workshops
There are a ton of amazing workshops going on throughout the weekend. Wake up and stretch out with a morning Yoga class or test your balance in Slack Librium’s slackline park. The visual artists team will have a number of workshops where you can sling some paint and bring out your creative side. Other workshops we are planning include hydro gardening, flow arts, edible plant hikes, and more. Stay tuned for a complete workshop schedule being released in just a few weeks.
Wonderland Waterpark
A music festival with a waterpark? Yup and admission is included with every weekend festival pass so jump in the water and cool off from the summertime heat. Wonderland Waterpark features over 50 inflatable toys you can climb on, bounce on and jump from plus waterslides, trampolines, and even a zip line into the water. If that all sounds like a bit more energy then you are willing to expel than lounge around on the white sandy beach and work on your tan. Saturday afternoon music will echo across the beach as The Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company Lake Stage keeps to the party rocking all day.
Make a New Friend
The one thing we hear on repeat is how wonderful all the people are here at MMFest. From the artists, the vendors, the staff and all the incredible attendees there are no strangers on the mountain. Wander across the sprawling campground and see whom you will run into. It might just be one of the Big Something boys jamming late night in the campground, your river guide from that afternoon, or even your next best friend. Get out, explore, be friendly and you never know what doors it may open.
Disc Golf
Disc golf is a great way to get outside, go for a hike, hang out with friends, and get some exercise. ACE Adventure Resort has an 18-hole disc golf course on top of Wonderland Mountain offering spectacular mountain views for miles. This course provides a great mix for players ranging from open fields to baskets in the woods where your aim better be good. From the festival grounds just hop on the FREE shuttle to catch a ride over to the course.

Wild Wonderful West Virginia’s best festival is at ACE Adventure Resort this summer where you choose the adventure and we provide the soundtrack.
