WHAT IS THE ACCESSIBILITY AT MOUNTAIN MUSIC FEST?

Grounds: The festival takes place on natural, flat grounds. No cement walkways or otherwise have been added. Most areas are maneuverable by wheelchairs or other motorized vehicles.

Camping: There is no designated accessible camping area as all areas are accessible. It is up to each patron to decide whether a certain area is more difficult to access than others.

Parking: Accessible parking is available, as long as the car being used holds a handicap parking pass. When you arrive at the festival, ask for accessible parking and you will be properly directed.

Accessible Bathrooms: Accessible bathrooms and showers can be found at the main gate area inside the festival grounds. You will find location information on the map once you arrive on site.

Service Animals: Patrons with service animals must check in with the Welcome Center. Only animals with a service animal tag will be allowed on site. If at any time the animal is out of control, puts patrons at risk, is uncontrollably loud, acts as a threat to other patrons, or is abandoned by owner and left alone in the park or car, our staff has the right to request that your animal be removed from the grounds.

Motorized Vehicles / Mobility Devices: Motorized wheelchairs and scooters with three plus wheels are allowed to be used by patrons with disabilities. No golf carts, 2 wheel scooters, or other motorized vehicles may be used. All mobility devices should be operated no faster than walking speed.

CAN I BUY ICE, FIREWOOD, OR CAMPING SUPPLIES?

The ACE Welcome Center and Outfitter Store carry many camping essentials, snacks, drinks, ice, firewood, and other supplies.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEVER WANT TO LEAVE?!

Well…uh…you are more than welcome to book additional days in the campgrounds or cabins, of course!

SO WHEN YOU SAY CAMPING, WHAT DO YOU MEAN EXACTLY?

You can pitch your tent (literally and figuratively) in a flat, open field at the top of a mountain, adjacent to the festival. You’ll be responsible for all the essentials, but spread around the camping area will be picnic tables and fire pits. Campsite sizes are 10′ wide by 30′ deep. To learn more about our lodging options, click here!

CAN I HAVE A FIRE AT MY CAMPSITE?

Fires are allowed inside fire pits. There are fire pits spread around the campground, but not at every festival campsite. If you have your own fire ring or fire box, you can utilize that to have fires right at your campsite.

HOW MUCH SPACE WILL I HAVE AT MY CAMPSITE?

Some spots are bigger than others but you will be guaranteed a camping space that is 10′ wide by 30′ deep. RV spots will be 20′ wide and the length 10′ longer than the RV.

HOW FAR ARE THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS FROM MY CAMPSITE?

Pretty close! In fact, the campground is just adjacent to the festival. All of which is at the top of the mountain. We also provide a free shuttle that will drive you around the campground and the resort. Campsites are first-come, first-served and you will be assigned a parking/camping space when you arrive.

CAN I SAVE CAMPING SPACES FOR MY FRIENDS THAT ARE COMING LATER?

The short answer is no. You will be assigned spaces as you arrive by festival staff and in order to efficiently park everyone on the mountaintop we cannot reserve spaces. If you are arriving separately from your group we suggest parking at the bottom of the mountain where you can enjoy music at the Lake Stage and the waterpark. Once your group arrives, convoy up the mountain together where you will be assigned camping space.

HOW FAR ARE THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS FROM MY CABIN?

Well, that depends really. Our cabins are spread across the 1500 acre property so that cabin guests have as much privacy as possible. Depending on which cabin you’re in, you’ll have AT MOST a 5 minute drive. Check out our map for exact locations. Take advantage of the FREE shuttle throughout the weekend to get you around the mountain.

ARE THERE RESTROOMS & SHOWERS?

There are a good number of bathroom facilities spread across the camping area. The restrooms are hard structures with flushing toilets, sinks, and showers that are taken care of well during events. It’s not the Ritz, but it’s certainly not a hole in the ground and a hot kettle either.

CAN I BRING MY RV/CAMPER?

Yes, if you are wanting to bring your RV/Camper you have a few options.

  1. Get a RV spot with ACE Adventure Resort. These spaces have power/water/sewer hookups. These spaces are very limited, check with ACE on availability. Check Availability Here
  2. RV Camping Pass – This will allow your camper into the designated RV camping area in the mountaintop campground where the festival takes place. Space sizes are 20′ wide with a length 10′ longer than your RV. These are primitive spaces with no hookups. Get RV Camping Pass.

WHAT KIND OF BEVERAGES WILL BE SOLD AT THE MUSIC FESTIVAL?

Plenty of beer, soda, and water. And when I say plenty, I mean we’re looking forward to having some of West Virginia’s best craft breweries competing with your more traditional domestics that we all know and love. Well maybe not love, but know.

IS MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL KID-FRIENDLY?

Yes, ACE is very kid friendly! Children under 10 are admitted for FREE into the festival grounds. Other fees for camping and activities may apply.

WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES CAN WE DO BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER THE FESTIVAL?

GENERAL QUESTIONS

WILL YOU TAKE CREDIT CARDS AT THE MUSIC FESTIVAL?

Yep! But just to lean on the safe side, carry some cash just in case. You know how finicky those credit card machines can be sometimes, and we wouldn’t want you to NOT be able to buy beer. ATM machines are also available on site.

WILL THIS THING BE AWESOME?

Yes…very…

WILL THERE BE ATM’S AT FESTIVAL?

Yup, we got you covered. There is one ATM at the main ticketing gate. Plus, there is one ATM in the outfitter store and one in The Lost Paddle at ACE Adventure Resort – just a short drive or walk from the festival grounds.

WILL THE FESTIVAL SITE HAVE WI-FI?

No, there is not WI-FI at the festival site. There are wireless hotspots at The Lost Paddle and in the Welcome Center.

WILL I BE SEARCHED?

…Why do you ask? Just kidding. No, your vehicle will not be searched. However, you may be searched at the gate for weapons, outside alcohol, and any other prohibited items. We respect you, so please respect us by not bringing this kind of stuff to the festival.

WILL I BE ABLE TO USE MY CELLPHONE?

That depends on your carrier really. AT&T tends to work great. Verizon usually works on the top of mountain. And Sprint, well, that could be a little sketchy (but if you have Sprint, you probably already knew that, amiright?!)

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

Well, it’s hard to say definitively this far in advance, but typically June in WV is warm with an average high of 77 and a low of 58. However, no matter what the weather is like, this is a RAIN or SHINE event, and you should dress appropriately.

IS THERE A LOST & FOUND?

Yep! It’s located at the ACE Welcome Center. Lost items can be dropped off at the ACE tent on the festival ground. All lost items will be held at the Welcome Center for a total of 60 days.

IF I DO DECIDE TO STAY FOREVER, CAN YOU RECOMMEND A GOOD REALTOR?

Wait what? No. I mean maybe, but no.

I HAVE A WEIRD QUESTION THAT ISN’T ADDRESSED HERE. HOW DO I ASK YOU?

Feel free to give us a call at 1-800-382-5893 or shoot us an email at [email protected]. You can also reach out to us on Facebook, where we are usually pretty responsive.
