Alexandra Kerby is a 28 year old artist from Wilmington, NC. She began painting 8 years ago, and after a year and a half of self taught work her thirst for knowledge led her to adding a minor in studio art to her degree at the University of Wisconsin. Through fantasy landscapes, biomechanical inspired flora and fauna and goddess-like women, her work is a way of communicating emotions and feelings better experienced through visual stories rather than words. It’s also a way for her to transfigure pain and difficult feelings of loneliness and anxiety into beautiful, therapeutic, positive representations. Most of all, her art adds rainbows and sparkles to a world that can always use more.
